As we approach the holiday season, and with Canadian Thanksgiving having just happened this week, here is a list of things (in no particular order) that we at soulpepper have to be thankful for on a daily basis.
Everyone has their own take on how to be better or more successful. We’re no different. But instead of droning on endlessly about what could be done to change your life, we jotted down 30 simple tips on what we think makes for a better human being. Got some more you’d like to share? Send them our way. We’d love to hear them.
We’re often asked what it’s like to work at soulpepper. Well aside from Free Beer Fridays (thanks to our friends at Google for our official Beer Fridge), soulpepper is the kind of place where everyone works hard and plays harder. From early morning kickboxing workouts and sunrise hikes to impromptu DJ dance parties after work, life here is full on.
I trained hard at the gym this morning. But not like my life depended on it. When I biked to work no one tried to cut me down on my route. And despite my deadlines, stress and getting chewed out by my boss, I was never in any real danger as I performed my job.
Members of the soulpepper crew traded social impact for impact of another kind with a visit to Champions for a little kickboxing action. Thanks to our Sensei, Sean Jimenez, (who just happens to own the largest martial arts school in Canada), who set up the team building event early Monday morning.
